First few weeks in Early Years at Insight International School Mehdipatnam: What We Do & Why It Matters ✨
The start of the academic year in each Early year grade isn’t about ABCs and 123s yet. It’s about little hearts feeling safe, happy, and ready to learn 💛
*What the initial days look like in our classroom:
-Rhymes, ball toss, and giggles — because learning friends’ names is step one to belonging.
– We tour the school , play areas/activity room, and bathrooms together.
– Scribble, Handprint art, “This is me” drawings, activity for development of fine motor skills.
Every child sees: You belong here.
– We rehearse lining up, snack time, and tidy-up until routines feel comfy.
– Lots of laughs & play to ease initial-weeks jitters.
-Blocks, playdough, play corner. While kids play, we observe, connect, and cheer them on.
Our goal is to build trust, safety, and smiles first. The learning naturally follows 😊
