Pre-Primary (Nursery, PP-1 & PP2)

At Insight International School,Pre-primary Department is a place for children to have fun, grow, learn, and develop.

We strive to ensure that each child progresses according to his/her abilities by providing programs that cater to their individual needs. Our classes are equipped with furniture, appliances, and educational games which aid in the holistic development and honing of the children’s characteristics. We acknowledge the vital role of establishing positive relationships with children and families and as a result, we encourage and provide parents opportunities to be active in their children’s school life.

In Pre-Primary-1 emphasis is placed on developing language skills and interpersonal relationships. We focus on exploring our everyday environment, developing our sensory skills and refining our fine motor control, as well as the core subjects of English, Math, EVS and Nazera.

In Pre-Primary-2 the focus is shifted more towards the core subjects such as English Language,Math, and Understanding of the World through Environmental Studies, whilst the Nursery ethos still flows through the classrooms.

Cambridge Primary (Grade 1 to 5)

Cambridge Primary is an education programme for young learners that combine a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment. The Cambridge Primary programme develops skills in English, Mathematics and Science.

The curriculum is flexible with clear learning objectives.

Cambridge Primary English enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively and to develop the critical skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment.

The mathematics curriculum framework explores five content areas: number, geometry, measure, handling data and problem solving. This curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships so that learners can apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.

The Science framework covers four content areas: scientific enquiry, biology, chemistry and physics. Scientific enquiry is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning, investigating, recording and analysing data.
Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum.
Social Studies for primary years give a basic introduction of History, Geography and Civics to prepare the learners for the middle school years where these subjects would be an important component of the curriculum.

Computer Science is a comprehensive program from NIIT

Islamic Studies–(Grade 3,4 and 5)
Students are also taught Languages with options to choose from – (Hindi or Urdu) from Grade 1 and (Telugu or Arabic) from grade 3 onwards.


Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (Grade 6 & 7)

Cambridge Lower Secondary develops skills and understanding in English, Mathematics and Science.

English enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively and to develop the skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment. Learners who follow this framework will develop language competency in English based on a curriculum designed to be successful in any culture and to promote cross-cultural understanding.

The Mathematics framework explores six content areas: number, algebra, geometry, measure, handling data and problem solving. The first five content areas are all underpinned by problem solving, which provides a structure for the application of skills. Mental strategies are also an important part of the number content. The curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships, so that learners apply their knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.

Computer Education is a comprehensive program from NIIT

Social studies curriculum comprises of detailed study of History, Geography and Civics with an objective to make the students understand the working of the world around them. The curricular area of History equips the students with the knowledge and understanding of the past, necessary for coping with the present and planning for the future.
The curricular area of Civics makes them aware of the socio-political life, and engages them as interested citizens of a vibrant and an on-going democratic process.

Islamic Studies - Students are also taught Languages with options to choose from – (Hindi or Urdu; Telugu or Arabic)


Cambridge International IGCSE (Grade 8 – 10)

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most recognised international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It’s a two year programme and is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success.
Developed over 30 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide.

The IGCSE curriculum allows the students to take a minimum of 5 and maximum of 14 subjects. The IGCSE ‘core’ curriculum consists of a First Language, Second Language, Mathematics, and one or more subjects in the area of Science.

A student can also choose to study other subjects ranging from Social Sciences to Arts & Technology.

Out of these 70 subjects offered by IGCSE, 30 are languages and the schools can choose to offer them in any combination.


Cambridge International AS & A Level (Year 11 & 12)


Cambridge AS & A Level (17 – 18 years of age)

  • A Level is the Advanced Level and AS Level is Advanced Subsidiary Level.
  • Learners take all the assessments for their full A Level at the end of the second year.
  • A Level is highly specialised and a student will normally take three subjects, although occasionally exceptional students take four or five.
  • They are the ‘gold standard’ of Cambridge, and can act as entry qualifications by universities of the European Union and elsewhere around the world.
  • A Level examination are usually taken after 13 years of education and are based on approximately 360 hours of guided learning per subject, normally over a two year period.


  • The Cambridge International A Level is reported on a grade scale from A* (highest) to E (minimum required performance).
  • There is no A* grade for Cambridge International AS Levels, which run from grade A to E.
  • Typical UK university entrance requirements are above three passes at grade C for academic courses in established universities.
  • Very popular courses will often require higher grades.
  • For example, medical schools in the UK often require grades of A*, A, B and the highly selective universities of Cambridge and Oxford ask for at least a combination of A and A* grades.
  • Good A Level grades can also be a key to admission for all the world's major universities.
