Martial Arts For Children
The most important aspects of children's training are discipline and respect. Respect not only for parents and teachers, but also for classmates, and finally for themselves. Self confidence develops through martial arts training that will give the child a new level of awareness both of themselves and of others.
As self-defence skills develop, children learn how to cope with bullying and abusive situations.
The childrens training syllabus is directed less toward learning techniques, than the adult program, while maintaining a comprehensive and varied self-defence program. They will learn correct stances, kicks, punches, blocks, how to break fall, how to throw an opponent, kicking and striking techniques and a wide variety of joint locking techniques, to cover all aspects of attack and defense situations.
The classes are fairly disciplined to promote a better learning environment and to avoid injury. At the same time, the object of the training is to have fun while learning. It is our express wish that every child learning martial arts will develop a better sense of self-awareness, self-confidence and physical fitness.
